Other comments | Clinician- and self-rated versions; assesses symptoms over period of prior 1 week. Sensitive to change, with medications, psychotherapy, or somatic treatments. Significantly differentiated endogenous from nonendogenous depression. IDS appears applicable to both inpatients and outpatients with endogenous, atypical, and nonendogenous major depression, and may have utility with dysthymics. |
