CDC Sponsored Educational Opportunities in EOH
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers training and research opportunities in Environmental and Occupational Health for individuals in various stages of their training or career (from undergraduate college students to full-time faculty). These opportunities can be accessed by clicking here and include the following:
- Public Health Informatics Fellowship Program: The goal of this program is to provide the training and experience for its participants to effectively apply computer and information science and technology to real public health problems, including the ability to lead and manage all aspects of the design, development and implementation of public health information systems.
- Preventive Medicine Residency Program: This program is designed to prepare CDC physicians for future leadership roles in public health at Federal, state, and local levels.
- Applied Epidemiology Fellowship for Medical Students: This program provides medical students with an applied hands-on training experience in epidemiology and public health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. With the guidance of experienced CDC epidemiologists, they perform epidemiologic analyses and research, design public health interventions, and assist in field investigations
