Breathing in America: Diseases, Progress, and Hope explores the nature and causes of pulmonary, critical care and sleep disorders, their prevalence and burden, the benefits research has brought and the research challenges that remain. It was published in August 2010 by ATS with support from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. 

Print copies of the book can be ordered online or by phone.  The price per book for ATS members is $14.95, plus shipping and handling.  For nonmembers, the cost is $22.50, plus shipping and handling. Discounts for members and non-members are available for those ordering 25 copies or more.
