ATSJournals.org Redesign: Better, Stronger, Faster

It’s more than aesthetics. The sleek, new ATSJournals.org is being designed with busy clinicians and researchers in mind. The streamlined experience will soon allow you to discover the most relevant research and guidelines quicker than ever before in all three ATS Journals:

  • American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (AJRCCM)
  • American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology (AJRCMB)
  • Annals of the American Thoracic Society (AnnalsATS)

ATSJournals.org readers will soon find:

  • A platform that unites all three ATS Journals, allowing fast, integrated searches across clinical and scientific specialties.
  • A dynamic, intuitive interface for direct navigation to popular content, including issue highlights, CME, and podcasts.
  • A clean display and table of contents for improved viewing.
  • An extensive issue cover gallery.

Mobile Ready & App

ATSJournals.org is being built with responsive design and will be optimized for smartphones and tablets. This will provide an optimal viewing and navigation experience that requires much less pinching, panning, and scrolling to enjoy articles and features.

Also in the works is a brand new ATS Journals app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, coming soon to Apple App Store. The app will feature abstracts, full articles, images, and figures from all three ATS journals. Readers will also be able to explore hyperlinks to more information, set bookmarks, and share links. The app will also include the AJRCCM Podcast series, in which physicians and authors discuss important AJRCCM articles, as well as summaries of the contents of issues.

Note: your previously downloaded app will no longer be in service after this transition. Remove your current app and replace it with the upgraded version – available soon in the App Store.

Logging into ATSJournals.org

During the transition to a better, stronger, and faster website, ATS journals readers may encounter delays or log in issues. We greatly appreciate your patience as we add the finishing touches. Please read on for more information.

To log into the new ATS Journals website, you will need to enter a username and password.

Your username is your membership number. If your number is shorter than eight digits, please put 0’s in front of the membership number. For example, if your membership number is 4598, enter it as 00004598.

Your password is your last name in all caps as it appears on your membership record, e.g. “SMITH” or “GARCIA RIVERA” or “O’DONNELL”

Note: if you are a subscriber and not an ATS member, you will receive an email from our software provider, Atypon. You will be asked to create a new username and password to gain access to the website.

If you are an ATS member and previously created a unique username and password, your username and password will be changed to the default settings above.

If you do not remember your membership ID number or have trouble logging in, please call or email the ATS Concierge: 212-315-8684; membership@thoracic.org.

Don’t See the New Website?

When the new ATS Journals site goes live, you may not see the new website immediately. Why? Your Internet service provider (ISP) must update its settings to recognize the new ATSJournals.org. These updates usually occur within 24 to 48 hours but can take longer depending on your location and ISP.

Until April 1, the previous website will still be available to all those members and subscribers whose ISP has not made the switch, so your ability to search and read articles online shouldn’t be affected.

We hope you enjoy the new ATSJournals.org.
