The American Thoracic Society has opened the search for the next Editor of the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology (AJRCMB), a peer-reviewed publication with an impact factor of 5.125.The current Editor, Kenneth B. Adler, Ph.D., has been serving as Editor since 2008.

The American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology publishes papers that report significant and original observations in the area of pulmonary biology. The focus of the Journal includes, but is not limited to, cellular, biochemical, molecular, developmental, genetic, and immunologic studies of lung cells and molecules. Publication is monthly.

It is anticipated that the Editor will be named in 2013 for a five-year term that starts in September 2013. The Search Committee is seeking candidates with editorial experience and a distinguished research background in respiratory cellular and molecular biology.

Letters of interest, including a statement of plans for the Editorship, and curriculum vitae should be submitted by November 15, 2012 to:
