13th Annual CP Educator Award
Sponsored by the Clinical Problems Assembly

The CP Assembly will be presenting its Thirteenth CP Educator Award at the 2016 ATS International Conference in San Francisco, CA. This award is given in recognition of outstanding expertise as a clinician and educator, and significant contribution to clinical education in pulmonary/critical care medicine.  This award is presented to a member of the CP Assembly annually at the CP Assembly Membership Meeting.  The award committee is seeking candidates for the award.  Please submit nominations for the award along with a CV and a short letter in support of your nominee addressing each of the following criteria

The following criteria will be used in selecting the awardee:

1.   The candidate should be an active clinician and teacher in pulmonary/critical care medicine for at least 10 years.
2.   The candidate should have been recognized by students/residents/fellows as an outstanding teacher. 
3.   The candidate should be recognized by his peers as an outstanding clinician, teacher and   mentor.

Early Career Achievement Award
Sponsored by the Clinical Problems Assembly

The ATS Clinical Problems Assembly Early Career Achievement Award will be given to an individual who has made outstanding scientific contributions in clinical, translational, or laboratory-based research relevant to clinical problems. This award is to recognize an individual who has made these contributions early in his or her career. Awardees will be presented with a framed certificate at the 2016 ATS International Conference in San Francisco, CA.The Award Committee is seeking candidates for the award.  Please submit nominations for the award along with a CV and a short letter in support of your nominee

The following criteria will be used in selecting the awardee:
1.   Must be at the Assistant Professor level or at an equivalent rank in a nonacademic institution.
2.   The nomination package must include a letter from a member of the Clinical Problems assembly describing why the award is appropriate
3.   The curriculum vitae from the candidate must also be included

Sreedhar Nair Lifetime Achievement Award in COPD
Sponsored by the Clinical Problems Assembly

This award should be given to an individual who has made the most outstanding scientific contribution or has provided outstanding service to the behavioral or social aspects of the prevention and treatment of the emphysema and chronic obstructive lung disease. Awardees will be presented with a framed certificate at the 2016 ATS International Conference in San Francisco, CA.The Award Committee is seeking candidates for the award.  Please submit nominations for the award along with a CV and a short letter in support of your nominee

The following criteria will be used in selecting the awardee:

1.   MD, PhD, or similar degree
2.   At least 20 years of experience following post-doctoral training
3.   International recognition as an expert in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
4.   A clinical, research, and/or public policy career focused on improving the lives of people living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
