RSF Reception at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC, Monday, May 22nd, 2017
On behalf of the American Thoracic Society Assembly on Respiratory Structure and Function (RSF), it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the RSF Membership Meeting and the RSF Reception on Monday, May 22nd during the 2017 ATS International Conference in Washington DC. The Membership Meeting will take place at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC - Independence Ballroom A (Independence Level 5B) from 5:00-7:00 PM, followed by the Dinner/Reception in Grand Hyatt Washington DC - Independence Ballroom A (Independence Level 5B) from 7:00-11:00 PM.
Assembly Membership Meeting (5:00-7:00pm): We will have a full agenda with reports from RSF and ATS leadership, announcement of new leaders for our Assembly, recognition and appreciation of outgoing members of committees for their dedication and hard work, and the opportunity for open discussion and participation of all members. We will also use the Membership Meeting to present our prestigious Joseph R. Rodarte, Ann Woolcock, Stuart J. Hirst, and Robert Crapo Awards, the Abstract Scholarship Awards for trainees, and other commendations. Our intent is to highlight our award winners during the Membership Meeting and allow more time for social interactions during the dinner/reception. RSF is your home in ATS, and the membership meeting is a great opportunity to voice your opinion and share your ideas and comments about our assembly and ATS.
Assembly Reception (7:00-11:00pm): There will be hot and cold hors d'oeuvres provided in a setting that will promote interaction and networking, including tall bar tables as well as smaller tables for those that wish to sit. Please register soon, as space is limited and reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost for the reception is $40 for ATS members, non-members or members-in-training (fellows).
I want to encourage you making a Program Donation to RSF, which will go to supporting programmatic activities planned by the Assembly Executive Committee and help subsidize the reception and other activities for RSF members. To make a donation, please click here. I would appreciate senior RSF members to invite junior colleagues and their trainees to join them at the reception (and consider covering their admission). This is a wonderful opportunity to gather, socialize, and engage the next generation of leaders in the activities of the Assembly and the ATS.

- In your conference registration confirmation e-mail, scroll down to the “Connect with Us” section and click on the Resource Center link under this header. Note: If you have misplaced your confirmation e-mail, click here. There is an option to retrieve your login information using the email address used during registration. If you have any questions please contact CDS at (866)635-3582 or (508)743-8518 (International).
- Once logged in, click on the ‘Add Sessions & Special Events’ button.
- Review the items you currently have purchase, and then click the “‘Add Sessions & Special Events’” button.
- Scroll down to ATS Assembly Dinners and select your choice and follow links for credit card payment.
Pre-registration is required if you are attending the reception. Tickets will be required at the door and entrance without ticket will not be permitted.
