STOP-Bang questionnaire had higher sensitivity to predict moderate-to-severe (87.0%) and severe (70.4%) sleep disordered breathing (SDB), while the STOP screening tool had higher specificity to predict moderate-to-severe and severe SDB (93.2% for both). sensitivities for the STOP-Bang tool were higher in validation studies in surgical patients in predicting moderate-to-severe (92.9%) and severe (100%) SDB. Used initially in surgical patients, but also in SHHS, endoscopy patients. Also studied in Asian population. |
