Richard Moss, MD

Dr. Moss received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical center. He is currently a Professor of Pediatrics Emeritus at Stanford University who conducts research through the Center for Excellence in Pulmonary Biology at Stanford University Medical Center. He serves on CFRI’s Board of Directors where he sits on the Board’s Strategic Planning Research Committee and the CF Quality of Life Advisory Committee. Through the years, Dr. Moss has been involved in over 120 studies funded by a wide range of sources, investigating diverse aspects of cystic fibrosis. He has participated in clinical studies and trials investigating gene therapy, emerging CF pathogens, CF-related liver disease, CFTR modulators, and new therapies for CF-fungal infections. Many of the therapies used today by cystic fibrosis patients as part of their standard protocol for care were tested through clinical trials of which Dr. Moss played an important role.
