Sheldon C. Siegel, M.D.

Sheldon C. Siegel, M.D. currently serves as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles, California. In addition, he runs a private practice in Allergy and Immunology since 1970.

Dr. Siegel received his M.D. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1945 and completed his training in Pediatric Allergy medicine in 1950 at the University of Rochester, New York. Shortly following completion of his training he joined the United States Air Force as Captain in 1952. When he resigned from the U.S. Airforce in 1954, he started his private practice in pediatrics and sustained the practice until 1970.

He has authored over a hundred original clinical papers and has co-authored numerous chapters. He is a member of many Societies including the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Siegel has been the recipient of several awards including most recently the PAR Excellence Award, in 2006. He is married to Priscilla Rikess and they have two daughters, Linda and Nancy.
