2016 ATS Foundation Unrestricted Grants

Apply for unrestricted grant support. In 2015, one unrestricted grant was awarded in each of the three pillars: pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine, along with an additional 3 unrestricted grants, which were awarded to the top scored projects regardless of submitted category. Must be invited to submit a full application.

2016 ATS Foundation Recognition Awards for Outstanding Early Career Investigators The goal of this program is to provide bridge funding for early career researchers who submitted A0 NIH (or internationally equivalent) applications that were close to, but did not meet the NIH payline. Must be invited to submit a full application.
2016 ATS Foundation Recognition Awards for Outstanding Establish Investigators

The goal of these awards is to provide much-needed support to meritorious independent investigators during vulnerable periods in their careers when they are between funded R-level grants. Must be invited to submit a full application.

2016 ATS Foundation Partner Grants

These grants are offered in partnership with ATS Foundation Research Program's non-profit partners to support disease-specific research grants and fellowships. 

2016 MECOR
Research Awards
The goal of the MECOR Research Awards is to provide small seed funds to the graduates of the ATS MECOR program with meritorious proposals to enable them to transition from trainees to investigators. Now accepting full applications - it is not necessary to have submitted a Letter of Intent in order to apply. 
2016 Grant for Hire Program
PHA Proof-of-Concept Grants/Barst Fund Grants

PHA has contracted with the ATS Foundation Research Program for administrative services for this program. The target audience is investigators who are interested in pulmonary hypertension research. Must be invited to submit a full application.
