COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course provides a comprehensive update on the clinical management of pulmonary and critical care disorders.

This 3 ½ day program includes 30 lectures delivered by a faculty of 30 experienced academic clinicians and 7 ‘Meet the Professor’ Sessions. Lectures provide a current perspective on topics of practical importance to practitioners. ‘Meet the Professor’ sessions facilitate informal exchange with the speakers on additional topics of interest; these are case-based, “hands-on” seminars.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
This course is designed for practicing physicians involved in the management of respiratory disease, critical care and sleep disorders.

Advanced Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants are also welcome. However, this course is not designed specifically for allied health professionals.

COURSE SCHEDULE:
The course will take place from Thursday, February 28th to Sunday, March 2nd 2008, at The Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. The course will include up to 30 lectures and a choice of 7 Meet the Professor sessions. Course sessions will begin each day at 7:30 AM, and conclude by 6 PM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and by 12 Noon on Sunday.

The American Thoracic Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Thoracic Society takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity. The American Thoracic Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of 30 AMA PRA Category1Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold each individual’s reservation.  These deposits paid by individuals are refundable if notice is received at least 72 hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained. After this date, the deposit is non-refundable.  All rates are per room, per day & do not include applicable taxes & gratuities.  Reservations made after February 4th, 2008 will be subject to availability at published rates.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Should you need to cancel your registration, you must contact Barbara Horner at the ATS Education Programs Unit, in writing. (See address below.) If received on or before Friday, February 1st, 2008, you will receive a refund of your registration fee, less a $100.00 administration fee. No refunds will be made after February 2nd, but registrants unable to attend will receive the course syllabus. Hotel reservations and cancellations are the registrant's responsibility and concerns should be addressed directly with the hotel.
