Non-CME Symposia Application

A separate application must be submitted for each request.

The ATS encourages Non-CME Symposia in conjunction with the ATS 2017 International Conference. Presentations should be scientific in nature and cannot offer CME/CE or any other form of professional credit, or be used to create CME/CE content post-conference.

Programs from MECCs are welcomed, but require a letter of approval from the ATS that should be included in any grant submissions. Applications that do not follow this process will be declined. To obtain a letter of approval please contact Michelle Turenne, Chief, Corporate Alliances and Business Development at mturenne@thoracic.org.

Non-CME Symposia rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

New Process Timeline for ATS 2017:
  1. September 21, 2016 — Online application opens
  2. Placement occurs in order of application receipt
  3. Contract and invoice sent to sponsor
  4. Completed contract due back to the ATS within 10 business days of receipt
  5. January 18, 2017 — Full Payment due
  6. February 24, 2017 — Program title, speaker list and description due

FEES

The fee to sponsor a Non-CME Symposium is based on the day of presentation and size of the meeting room. The fee includes the following:

  • Hotel ballroom for presentation
  • Speaker ready room
  • Comprehensive A/V package
  • ATS "Ask Me" staff in hotel lobby
  • Recognition in pre-conference and onsite materials
  • Listing on the ATS 2017 International Conference website and mobile app
  • Listing in the Non-CME Symposia Locator Map distributed in the Medical Bag
  • Listing in ePreview
  • Complimentary, one-time use of the attendee pre-registration list
  • Two lead retrieval units to capture attendee information

CANCELLATION

Cancellation with a signed contract before January 18 will result in a $10,000 cancellation fee. No refunds are available after January 18. Funds cannot be applied to other opportunities.
