CC Teaching Competition

The Critical Care (CC) Early Career Working Group will review applications. If selected, the finalist will present virtually at the International Conference before a panel of esteemed judges at ATS International Conference’s Center for Career Development (CCD) on Tuesday, May 18 at 8 am ET. The winner of the final competition will receive a cash prize and a certificate.  

  Applicant requirements:

  • CC must be your primary Assembly
  • Must be in the early career stage (either in training or within 5 years from terminal training program)
  • Submit an application that consists of your CV, proposed objectives for your presentation, 8 minute video presentation, and a statement of your teaching philosophy (~ 300 words)
  • If selected, be available to present virtually at the ATS International Conference’s Center for Career Development (CCD) on Tuesday, May 18 at 8 am ET

Presentation criteria:

  • Cover a topic of your choice that pertains to your Assembly’s focus
  • Run for a maximum of eight minutes
  • Include goals and/or objectives
  • Cannot use the audience response system
  • Also due to time constraints, you will not be able to take questions from the audience
  • *Please note that the final teaching competition will be conducted live. Video applications in the preliminary stage will be judged solely on content, and not on production or special effect
