This month we are pleased to highlight Dr. Maryl Kreider for our Women in Clinical Problems faculty spotlight!

Dr. Kreider is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.  She received her medical degree and completed residency and fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Kreider has a wide variety of roles at UPenn including the Director of the ILD Program, Director of the fellowship program, and Vice Chief of Fellowship Program Education and Faculty Development.  In addition, Dr. Kreider has taken on the important role of Program Committee Chair for the Clinical Problems Assembly this year.   As she prepares for ATS 2020, Dr. Kreider is hoping to promote a balanced program agenda, with equal focus on all diseases as well as equal representation of participants from various institutions.  We are so excited to see the cutting edge and novel research that the program committee chooses to highlight!  When asked about advice she would give fellows and junior faculty, Dr. Kreider recommends getting involved early in CP committees, as throughout her career “friends turned into collaborators.”  Outside of work, Dr. Kreider cherishes the time she is able to spend reading and is currently enjoying “The Person You Mean to Be” by Dolly Chugh.  We are so fortunate to have Dr. Kreider as a member and leader of the Clinical Problems Assembly.
