Save the Date: ATS 2012 - San Francisco, CA

Interested in learning more about the upcoming ATS International Conference? This section includes information about sessions and activities at one of the largest gatherings of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine professionals in the world. This year’s meeting will feature a special workshop that will teach attendees how to develop the leadership skills necessary to climb the ranks in academic, industry and private practice settings. 2012 Fellows Track Symposium

- The ATS is pleased to announce the availability of the ATS Fellows Symposium (FTS) at the 2012 International Conference in San Francisco. This program will allow fellows to attend a two-day course designed to cover cutting-edge topics in the field of respiratory medicine. ATS Toolkits

The American Thoracic Society (ATS) Virtual Fellowship Kit, is designed to introduce Fellows who as of July 1, 2011, have entered into a Pulmonary, Critical Care or Sleep Fellowship program. This online kit will introduce Fellows to the ATS and make it easier for them to navigate and understand how the ATS works.

The ATS Virtual Residents and Medical Students toolkit is a web site that contains FREE resources and materials specifically designed for Residents and Medical Students to help them as they consider a career in Pulmonary, Critical Care and/or Sleep Medicine.
Mentoring Corner

The Members In Transition and Training (MITT) Committee, along with the guidance of longtime ATS member, Charles Irvin, MD, have identified several key articles that have been written on the topic of mentoring. We hope this collection of resources provide invaluable insight on how to be a good mentee, as well as how to find a good mentor.
