Pulmonary Complications and Late Pulmonary Effect of Childhood Cancer Therapy

Please join us for a lively discussion.

Monday, May 16th 2016
Marriott Marquis Hotel
6:30-8:00 AM
In Room: Sierra K, 5th Floor

This interest group is intended to bring together pediatric and adult pulmonologists and basic scientists with an interest in acute and chronic pulmonary complications of pediatric cancer therapy, including complications related to chemotherapy, radiation, and human stem cell transplantation. Pediatric pulmonologists and intensivists consulting in large pediatric cancer centers are particularly encouraged to attend. In addition, studies in the growing population of adults who are childhood cancer survivors are showing a high prevalence of pulmonary function and exercise abnormalities in this population. Adult pulmonologists and others interested in research and clinical care for this adult population are encouraged to participate to help develop guidelines for follow-up and priorities for future research.
