Biotrauma Mediated Ventilator-induced Lung Injury: Where We Are and Where Are We Going?

Dr. Jason Elinoff, Assistant Clinical Investigator in the Critical Care Medicine Department at the NIH Clinical Center, chats with Dr. Arthur Slutsky about his upcoming lecture on the opening day of this year’s ATS International Conference entitled, “Mechanical Ventilation: From Vesalius to Ventilator-Induced Lung Injury.” Dr. Slutsky’s lecture is part of the ATS Discoveries Series celebrating 110 years of the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Slutsky is Professor of Medicine, Biomedical Engineering and Surgery at the University of Toronto and a Scientist in the Keenan Research Centre for Biomedical Science of St. Michael’s Hospital. He also serves as the Keenan Chair in Medicine and Vice President of Research at St. Michael’s Hospital.
