Description: In this podcast we discuss how the ATS scientific and research community could guide and inform the public regarding the current outbreak of acute respiratory distress syndrome cases related to vaping. Dr. Petrache’s research focuses on understanding how tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vaping products injure the distal lung affecting its normal physiology and responses to infection.

Guests: Dr. Petrache is the Division Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and the Wollowick Chair in COPD Research at National Jewish Health in Denver Colorado. She serves on the Planning Committee of the ATS - RCMB Assembly.
