
Mission Statement
The mission of the ATS training committee's pediatric pulmonary training list is to provide pediatric pulmonary trainees with a list of peer-reviewed articles that encompass important and relevant topics in the field of pediatric pulmonology that are up to date, comprehensive and pertinent to the practice of pediatric pulmonology.
Goals
- To provide a list of noteworthy and relevant pediatric pulmonary publications that will enhance the clinical care provided by trainees.
- To provide a central location for pediatric pulmonary articles for the incoming and established pediatric pulmonary fellow.
- Introduce pediatric pulmonary trainees with articles important to "well-read" pediatric pulmonologist.
Annual maintenance of the pediatric reading list
To collaborate with an expert panel of pediatric pulmonologists and a reading list subcommittee in the pediatric assembly:
Role of the expert panel and subcommittee: To update the ATS Pediatric Reading list annually with:
- Clinical studies that are shaping the debate over the current standard of care
- Landmark articles of historical significance
- A select number of highly influential practice guidelines
- Limited number of review articles meeting at least one of the following criteria:

- Prominent Pulmonary topic lacking landmark articles or large clinical trials
