This journal club was sponsored by the Assembly on Allergy, Immunology, and Inflammation (AII) and is entitled "Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Phenotypes: Optimizing Clinical Trials and Identifying Novel Biology” and presentations by a senior and junior investigator and a discussion of career development in ARDS translational research.

Presenters:

Angela Rogers, MD, MPH, Associate Professor, Division of Pulmonary Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine, Stanford University on her research in ARDS phenotypes including her recent publication, “The Association of Baseline Plasma SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid Antigen Level and Outcomes in Patients Hospitalized With COVID-19 from the ACTIV-3/TICO Study Group”. Dr. Rogers also discusses her perspective on career development as a translational ARDS researcher.

Narges Alipanah-Lechner, MD, Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellow, University of California San Francisco, and her complimentary work on clinical features, diagnosis and outcomes of patients presenting with acute respiratory illness.
